Benefit auction gets more than 500 bids
Last month’s WAM! Benefit Auction was a huge success. The organization raised more than $10,000 in a little over a week.
The auction generated 563 bids from 168 unique bidders, some current WAM!mers and others who were unfamiliar with WAM! Auction registrants were from across the country–from 34 states and 7 countries outside the U.S.
Some of the most popular items bid on included a meet and greet with Tegan and Sara, a meet and greet with Cyndi Lauper, original Dykes to Watch Out for artwork from Alison Bechdel, a meet and greet with Margaret Cho, and a personalized voice mail recording from Sarah Haskins.
