16 Days of Action Against Gender Violence: Day Two

26 November 2011 Categories: WAM! News

For day two of our contribution to the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence, we’d like to spotlight Elizabeth O’Donnell, the founder of HelloLadies.com. According to the site:

Hello Ladies is a news and information source offering compelling content and a unique voice that inspires smart, busy women between the ages of 22 and 55 at work, at home, and in their communities. It is a place to have some fun and tackle some serious issues too. Visit Hello Ladies to chat about the things that matter to women whether it’s work, friends, politics, parenting, news or shoes. Hello Ladies, this site is for you.

In addition to all of the social and political issues covered on Hello Ladies, Elizabeth frequently writes specifically about domestic violence in an effort to raise awareness, challenge media perceptions and ultimately end violence against women. Earlier this year, she built a fundraising website to raise money to support victims of domestic violence. Thanks to her hard work, you can take action, too!

Surely a perfect piece of writing! We’ve book marked it and sent it out to all of my friends since I know they’ll be intrigued, thank you very much!
